What do you think will help you balance the creative authority you must give to the users, the appliance of a product which build with your tool and the flexibility of that tool?
Designers usually have a tendency of handing over the complete creative control to the general people, or let’s say the simple and basic users. The reasons I could guess could be either of these: Designers are the people who know the elements and principles of design and what are its precise applications. And I am sure most of you were just born with a vision of the perfect colours and shapes, however the rest just learn it, I am sure they do!
The other reason could be that just not like users, designers can see things in another way. You will look at everything that you use on an everyday basis, and wonder what better changes can be made to bring an improvisation. For example you enter a new lounge which just started in your city, and your primary focus shifts on its interiors and if your don’t like it, you would only wonder what best can be done.
Now that bring us down to the fact that it is no one but the designer himself who should be the ones to decide what is right, what needs to be corrected and wat is required when.
Some of us are also born with something special, the ability of admiration of beauty. And trust me, you’ve had it prevailing for a long time i you haven’t yet realized yet. Designer must think that everything that looks great works great or tastes even better and with materialistic things, the better it looks the more trust gets associated with it.
The general users as well know how to recognize beauty, just like designers can and can tell what’s right and what’s not. But that is fine, this can really not be the actual reason of control issues. The actual problem is they are not aware of what you are, the principles and importance of design, and only you will know how to creat functionality with beauty of eyes. Because people who are unaware of aesthetics will end up putting things together and making something like this:

Well, this is an extreme example of things gone bad, but I am sure you understand what I really mean. No wonder how many worse Powerpoint presentations you must have seen during your college days. Well, one thing is sure, unlike designers the users will know what is right, but will just never know what is right and how must it be implemented.
