Crucial Steps Before The Design Reaches Your Client

There is a particular way how a professional really focuses on his work before the final delivery, marking and crossing the important. Designers are their own proof checkers and so they manage as well. To avoing situations of awkward interrogation and question answer rounds, you must make sure your details are right before your client view your work.

Here are five steps to be kept in mind-

Watermark Your Design

You have worked so hard with that project, but you always make sure that you work with clients who you know and can trust. That may solve a lot of  problems but it is always better to watermark your work. You never know who may really mess with you design intentionally or unintentionally. Hence, watermark everything but the master copy of the same.

Protect Your Designs

Well this is just related to the first one, but not exactly the same. You might have all the trust and everything on your client but the best way is to state a contract up front, and if this is the case then it’ll be easier to accept payments once the design is completed. However if there is only a verbal understanding, you must have a copyright notice somewhere on the design.

Name All Your Files Clearly

On occasion, professionals use abbreviations in file names, like FPO (For Position Only). Do you think that your average client who hires a designer to help them will know what FPO stands for? Heck, no. Try to avoid confusing abbreviations and design jargon. Then tell the client that it’s FPO in your email, phone call, or face-to-face meet up.

Save it for Web

Every finished design that you are done with must always be saved on the web. You will never want the files to crash anywhere between the client servers. The only time you shouldn’t save for web is when you’re ready to finalize the master. The master should be formatted to best suit its use case.

Set Your Client’s Expectations When Possible

Be specific and share your design plans with the client along the journey to the completed work. In the end, you will never be too prepared, but you’ll never feel prepared, so just do your best and learn from your experience, that’ll hold the completeg value.
