Getting started with JavaScript

Now a days no website is complete with out the use of JavaScript or JQuery. With the advancement of technology and new JavaScript library’s getting available now a Web Developer has endless possibilities to provide start of the art interaction for their users.

In this post I have listed few JQuery Sliders which are a must for every new website being launched.

Why a JavaScript library?

To quote the official jQuery slogan: “Write less, do more.” The role of a web developer is to create code that determines what will result from a user’s interaction with a web page. Web developers should not have to spend hours debugging browser quirks. Instead, they should be free to deal solely with the actions and the results. This is where a JavaScript library comes into play.

JavaScript is most commonly used as a client side scripting language. This means that JavaScript code is written into an HTML page. When a user requests an HTML page with JavaScript in it, the script is sent to the browser and it’s up to the browser to do something with it.

JavaScript is used to add functionality, validate forms, communicate with the server, and much more.

There are different type of framework made in JavaScript. Most famous framework is jQuery.

jQuery

jQuery is a fast, small, and feature-rich JavaScript library. It makes things like HTML document traversal and manipulation, event handling, animation, and Ajax much simpler with an easy-to-use API that works across a multitude of browsers. With a combination of versatility and extensibility, jQuery has changed the way that millions of people write JavaScript.

With jQuery, we can do many really advanced and dynamic things by writing just few lines of codes and without having to add proprietary plugins like Flash.
